Now I am sure that you at this moment use one of the following, Facebook, Myspace ,Twitter , Beebo, or have contributed comments or content to a blog at some point.

And if you have then you are already aware and a user of web 2.0.

So if you find yourself asking ” What is Web 2.0 ? ” it’s really just a fancy name for websites that people can add content to.

And that’s all it really is.

A Web 2.0 site lets people interact with others change the content of the site. Unlike non-interactive websites where users are limited to the passive viewing of information that is given to them.

It promotes active involvement among it’s users.

They feel part of the experience because they can contribute.

So now that we’ve answered the question “what is web 2.0″ lets move right along and address the next most important question for wanna-be online money makers.

” How do I make money from web 2.0 ? “

Because one of the main plus points about web 2.0 is that on the whole , it’s free.

You can get some friends or followers on twitter and facebook, and providing the offer you send to them is good, you can make a bit of money.

The same goes for blogs, find some good ones in your marketplace and start commenting and interacting and you will drive people to your site.

And all of these methods of getting traffic to your site are free.

But there are a few things for you to consider as you look to get some of this web 2.0 pie.

You see, these are not advertising mediums, and they are not filled with people actively looking for what you have to offer.

This is a world away from a search engine or a pay per click ad.

So you will have to adapt your techniques accordingly.

Ok, so what do I mean by that ?

Well, I would try and make your advertising on web 2.0 very relevant and specific.

People want information about the things they are interested in.

There is not point getting on Facebook, Myspace or Twitter and trying to gather as many friends as possible, as quick as you can, then blasting out a spammy offer that might not have anything to do with what they are interested in.

It’s going to be a lot better to actually read people’s profiles and only contact those people that have expressed an interest in your market and what you are doing.

It may be a bit of a longer time frame before you start making some money, but chances are you will make more over a longer period of time.

You don’t want to just spam people and burn all your bridges.

And make sure you give before you expect to receive.

If you’re trying to get some traffic from a blog in your market, then contribute to the blog before hand, before expecting to get any traffic back.

Don’t just jump on and post ” check out my stuff .”

Treat people with respect , give quality content, add value, and reap the rewards.

And then you can start making some money from web 2.0.

Well , I’ll start by saving us both a lot of time.

Obviously if you are the type of person looking for a site build it review, then you are already aware of Site Build It ( SBI ) and so I don’t need to tell you what we already know about site build it and what it does.

But just a quick note for anyone who has found their way here by accident. Site Build It, is an all in one internet-business-in-a-box product that shows you how you can take any area of passion, expertise or experience that you may have and turn it into a online business.

And lots of the businesses it creates end up in the top 1% of the internet.

Ok, that’s it for the explanations I promise.

Let me just start out by saying that at our company Wonderweb, we are web designers and internet marketers by trade.

So it may seem a little strange to you, to see us reviewing a product that could actually put us out of business and make us obsolete.

I mean who needs web designers if there is a do-it-yourself product that gets results just as good as the professionals right ?

Well, although lots of people want to build their own internet businesses , there are still a lot of people that want to employ people like us to do it for them, so I don’t think we need to start looking for new jobs just yet.

But it is a good chance to take a look at the competition and see exactly what their product offers, so that’s what we did.

Well for us as web designers and internet marketers there are certain stages to go through to build a website that works and they have to be followed in order.

1) Brainstorm Your Ideas

What market are you thinking of going into ? Are you starting from scratch ? Do you have an existing business or product ?

If you are starting from scratch then think about your own unique areas of passion, knowledge and interest. What experience do you have ? What do you love to do ? What can you talk authoritatively about ? What do you know that can solve people’s problems?

2) Market Research

Once you have a few ideas, you have to see which are commercially viable. After all it’s no use having a great idea if no one is looking for your product.

On the internet this means keywords and keyword research. This is where Site Build It does a very good job.

For us as web designers this is the most important part of creating a successful website and internet business, and it is the part that we see most often overlooked.

The Brainstormer feature of Site Build It, shows you how many people are searching each month for the keywords you think will be good for your business.

It compiles an exhaustive list of other keywords for you so that you can select the best ones to build your site around.

It checks the competition for those keywords, and suggests which will be the most profitable ones for you.

Which is a mistake that we see repeated all to often in our business.

Now granted, this is something that you can do with a web browser and the google keyword tool for free, and it will give you a good idea of your potential marketplace.

Once you have your number 1 site topic, your keywords and marketplace all researched and decided upon, it’s time to build it.

Now, Site Build It does have two options , the option where they will build it for you.

And the DIY option, now I’ve never employed them to build a site for me ( why would I as a web designer ? ), so can only comment on the DIY option.

The build it tool is a very simple block by block system builder. In fact I would say that if you can use Microsoft word and can copy and paste pictures then you can use this piece of kit.

It is as simple as it gets. One of the things that Site Build It prides itself on and makes a big point of is that it takes care of all the technology side for you,

And to be fair, it really does.

In fact for us, it was almost too easy to use and simple. My brother does a lot of our web designs and he found it to be a bit too simplistic for his tastes. But then he is a professional web designer.

For the average person wanting to start an online business , then the site builder builds very nice, simple, clean and fresh looking web sites.

And it makes sure that they are built with Search Engine Optimization in mind. The whole theory behind Site Build It’s web design is that the purpose is to rank well in the search engines.

4) Market It

Probably the number one place people slip up when it comes to their internet business is marketing it.

A web site is only as good as the customers it attracts and the sales it brings in.

It could be the greatest bells and whistles site in the world, but if nobody’s seeing it, then you don’t have a business.

Site Build It is designed on the principles of free traffic. It wants it’s sites to be ranked well in the search engines and deliver warm, targeted visitors to it’s sites.

And how does it do that ?

Well by building the pages around buyer keywords. Tight , relevant keywords that the brainstormer has proved to be the most likely to buy from you.

Ok, so what else ?

Well the customer service is very good, prompt and helpful and polite. They don’t do any advertising, so the whole company has grown on word of mouth and affiliate’s , so the service has to be top-notch, and to be fair , any problems that I had , they always resolved in a timely fashion.

There is a also a very big forum / community of SBI users that offer help, tips and advice , and answer questions.

This is a quite a rare thing online, internet business can be a bit of a cut throat world but the owner , Ken Evoy likes to foster a family/community atmosphere and does a good job of it.

So, any negatives ?

Well, get rich quick it ain’t !!

I don’t think you are that type of person or you wouldn’t be reading this,

But SBI is built upon a very real, honest, common sense approach to making a successful internet business.

Their mascot is the tortoise for goodness sake !

They basically take the opinion that it takes between 3-6 months to rank well in the search engines and to start building your business.

Which isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.

But it is real, it is honest about it’s methods, no ” make six figures next month ” rubbish, and from what I’ve seen their methods work.

Areas where you have some experience, knowledge or passion.

Don’t worry about the commercial potential at this point, that comes next.

Once you’ve got all your possibilities, then start researching them.

Have a look for possible partnerships with affiliates where you can promote their products for them, there are loads of affiliate networks to choose from.

Go on the sites of the main companies in your industry and see if they have products that you can promote as an affiliate. Even ring them up.

Or it could be that you have an idea for your own product or service.

Get on the internet and do a bit of competition research.

List all of the words you would type into a search engine if you were looking for your product or company.

What other companies are already there and what are they offering?

Check out how many people are actually using those words to search each month, using the google keyword tool.

This is only some very basic research but doing this for all your possible topics, areas of interest and passion will put you ahead of the game in terms of starting a successful internet business to launch.

You’d be amazed how many people don’t bother, they just get an idea and jump in.

This is the most important time you could take to select the right business for you as a work at home parent.

Make it as easy as possible to succeed by creating a business around you and placing the tools around that.

So you’re all ready to go, full of excitement and enthusiasm about your brand new online money making idea that’s gonna pull in those big internet dollars/pounds/euros,etc..

I would probably hazard a guess that what you’re thinking around this time is ” How Do I Create My Own Website?”

Well, to be honest I wouldn’t worry too much about that, there are loads of good services that help you to do it yourself, such as Joomla and WordPress, and if you don’t fancy the DIY approach there are companies such as ourselves that will do it for you.

But again, I wouldn’t worry to much about that because that should not be your main concern, as we know at our company Wonderweb from seeing and building hundreds of sites for hundreds of companies.

You see , we have had many people come through our doors with their plans and ideas for their business or company.

Full of big visions for their future.

They knew what their business was all about and now they were ready to get a spanking new website to promote them.

” Who are your main competitors? “

And we would ask more and more questions before we even began to think about putting up a website.

We know all of this because we do it day in and day out.

Our customers are good at what they do in their businesses, internet marketing is not their area.

But it knocks them back a bit when we tell them that we need to get the answers to these questions first, before we begin building.

Because they have their ideas that they think will make them successful online and often want to doggedly stick to them.

But the reality of what our customers think will work and what actually does prove to work online is often quite different.

And we have to make sure we give them the best chance of being successful.

So how does that apply to you ?

Well I can take a bet that you probably have a few possible plans, ideas or business models running around your head right now.

And the question ” how do I create my own website ?” is one that you are ready to address.

Well before you jump in, just take the time to ask yourself those fundamental questions, because if you can’t answer them, you’re not ready to build your site.

You can go onto google and check out your competition and gauge your likely chances of success.

Because if you are in market where your main competition is people like Adidas or Microsoft, you may want to tweak your idea a little bit, or maybe focus on a smaller area of the market.

Take your passion, build a business around what you love and create a great website, but take the time to do the most important work before you begin to build.

That time, those couple of hours are THE most vital to your business, and they are what we see rushed through and neglected the most.

There is a lot of buzz about info products on the web as I’m sure you know.

It is generally considered to be a top home based business model.

and it is with very good reason.

Lets say for arguments sake that the majority of people that are using the internet are using search engines to find what they want.

Obviously a search engine is not the only way, but let’s just use the example that most people will start out by typing what they are looking for into an engine like Microsoft’s new Bing.

After you have come to all these decisions after looking at all the relevant info, then it’s time for you to get your credit card out.

So it all begins at the same point, and that point is information.

Without the information beforehand, there is no buying.

This goes for vacations, houses, in fact any purchase, big or small in any market.

The sale always starts at information.
Consider it for minute.

You want your problem solved and you hope that the information you find can help you do that.

That problem may be needing to book a holiday, buy a car, or know how your team got on in the big game.

It doesn’t matter what the problem is, and whether you end up buying anything or , it is the information you want first, and without it, you won’t be going on to put your hand in your pocket.

So by first and foremost helping to solve people’s problems and providing them with quality, helpful information, you can lay some good foundations for a solid business on the web.

Because a good way to start thinking about launching your business on the internet is by looking at what your areas of passion, knowledge, interest and experience, and thinking about what you know that others could benefit from.

And it is not as hard as you may think to create info products for your business.

It all starts with brainstorming your areas of passion, interest and expertise and thinking what information and knowledge you have that you could share with others and that would help solve their problems.

Starting an internet business is a pretty common goal for many of us.

The chance to leave the job and the 9-5 and be successful.

Turn on your computer and jump onto the internet and you may even begin to believe that it’s easy. And when you switch on your laptop and get online it even seems that it’s simple.

That everyone’s doing it.

I’m sure you’ve seen the get rich quick promises online that can suck you in and leave you believing that all you have do is follow the simple automated system and this time next week all your problem will be over.

The fact is that the internet “gurus” pushing these make money online systems are probably doing very well and making a nice amount of money.

Whether you will do the same is open to a bit more debate.

So the hundreds of ads for making money online that you will come across if you have an interest in starting an internet business, will all appeal and push these hot emotional buttons.

And because we are the kind of people that want to follow our dreams and our hearts , we can be more susceptible to believing these promises.

We are give these gurus our trust and often get let down.

Because they are selling us the dream, not the reality. And that is because they are pushing us what they think we want to hear.

It is something they have designed to push our hot emotional buttons and make money out of us, and as much as possible.

Because we all want to think that we can quickly and easy be making big money.

And we want to believe that we can be doing it next month.

Because we can then not have to go into work tomorrow.

We can not have to worry about the bills, the mortgage.

The gurus are well aware that we are in it for a reason.

and as fast as possible.

Let’s be honest , which of us wouldn’t accept a six figure income for working two hours a day ?

Everyone of us wants it.

For most of us, it’s the dream.

Money and freedom.

And we are the types of individuals that will actively go for what we want, and sometimes that leads to us giving too much trust to people that really only care about themselves.

And we pay for it with a 99% failure rate.

Why ??

Because the internet gurus don’t want us to know the real secret of a successful online business.

And that is to put your own unique areas of interest, passion, knowledge and experience at the very heart of your internet business.

They want you to believe that you need THEIR system, THEIR way of doing things, that what you know and have to offer has no real value whatsoever.

Because that makes you a nice, timid customer who will buy from them time and time again.

And whenever they have stuff to sell, you will be expected to be begging for it, time after time.

Because it’s in their interests that you don’t really make a lot of money, or why would you need to keep buying from them.

And even if you are successful at starting an internet business , there will be 99 just like you that aren’t.

But you’ll be able to go from a customer to an entrepreneur if you realize what you have to offer from the start.

If you decide that starting an internet business around an area that you already know,

Because you already have areas of passion and interest.

Then you are putting yourself firmly in the driving seat and won’t need them to hold your hand.

No matter where your individual skills and talents may lie, there is an opportunity to start an internet business with those at the centre.

All you need to do to begin is brainstorm the things you know and have knowledge of.

Then there are plenty of different options for you to make money from the stuff you already know and love.

How Using Internet Network Marketing Can Take Your Business To Another Level.

A network marketing business might fill your head with some pretty unpleasant stereotypes.
I know that when I think of network marketing, the idea of pitching your business to your friends and family is not an appealing one.
You may even have heard horror stories of people being ambushed with a sales pitch when they thought that they were going for a quiet, social evening at a friends place.
Horrible, horrible.
But is that par for the course for all network marketing businesses?
Are these dark age business building methods the only way to involved yourself in network marketing?
Surely, now we are in the internet age, things have progressed and we don’t need to use those tactics any more.
Because these are some big companies with some very good money sloshing around.
Diamond directors are multi-millionaires in numerous of these companies.
There is no doubt that as a business model, it has been very successful, it could be just about modifying it a bit.

Let people find you through the internet, people looking for the opportunity or product that you have.
And then you will have people contacting you about what you have to offer.
You don’t need to go and do all that legwork yourself.
And that is a big thing when it comes to Network Marketing.
Because you only really wan to be talking with people that have shown an interest in what you’re doing, and not people who have no interest and never will have.
And you don’t have to talk to 99 people to find that 1 warm prospect.
And that’s the hard part.
And if you can put things in place to do that for you, network marketing can be a fantastic business.
Again, I don’t think there is anything wrong with network marketing in and of itself.
If you get involved with a strong company with quality products and a good payment plan,
You could have a great business and make some good money.
